Aphrodisiac Oils – Scents and Scentuality

Certain essential oils have been considered aphrodisiacs since ancient times
and have been included in the secret recipes of countless perfumes,
essential oil massage blends, and other sensual aromatic products throughout the ages.
They can rightly be considered the aromas of desire.

But before we dive into the oils for lovers,
let’s talk about what’s so special about those essential oils and essential oil blends …

The Essential Oils produced by Young Living are of the highest quality known to science up-to-date.

They are not only at the biochemically the highest organic therapeutic level, but also are true to the vibrational energetic level of live plants, however with a a far greater concentration and intensity.

The very unique process and quality guarantee, “Seed to Seal” distinguish the Young Living oils world wide from any other brand!

You may also want to read about ‘Why Young Living … and not any other essential oils brand”, and a “101 Basics on Essential Oils and How to use them”.

Quite simply put, you can use them aromatically, topically, and internally.

Aromatic:

When diffusing essential oils, or just inhaling them from the bottle, they exert surprising influence over your thoughts, emotions, moods, memories, and behaviors, thus the scents are experienced long before words.

Olfaction is different from your other senses, processed through different pathways in your brain. They bypass the “Thinking Brain” (your frontal cortex), and go straight to the “Feeling / Emotional Brain” (your limbic system), which does to have any language, logic or analytic response ability.

So, when inhaling essential oils, the olfactory bulb triggers the limbic system of the brain. It stimulates the amygdala, which is the centre for our sexual drive, and so much more.

Please understand that I am referring to pure, therapeutic grade essential oils from plants, NOT synthetic fragrances and perfumes, which can be toxic and are typically loaded with allergenic compounds.

Topical:

Topically the oils can be applied during a delicious relaxing massage, or strategically, such as on the Vitaflex points, to support certain body functions. For example the male and female reproduction areas (for female massage the outer right ankle, for male, the outer left ankle.

Although most of the Young Living essential oils can be applied neat and undiluted, when you are using them for the first time, and especially near the genital area, it is advisable that you dilute them in a high quality carrier oil, such as the ‘V6’ by Young Living and test them out on the forearms. It is extremely rare to have an allergy, intolerance or hypersentitivity to an oil. But whilst it’s rare, it’s not an impossibility.

Never use ‘hot oils’ like Thieves, Lemongrass, Peppermint, , or Panaway neat and undiluted on sensitive membranes!

Internal:

So long as an essential oil is not distilled with chemicals, solvents, or blended with synthetic fragrances (very common with over the counter oils), then it is edible. Young Living is in line with the quality of French aromatherapy, rather than British.

What’s up with those blends and fancy names?

I grew up with a traditional, highly qualified apothecary pharmacist mother who not only dispensed but also made the medication specific to relieving certain ailments. As a little kid I watched her use different plant compounds as well as various different chemically derived substances, that when combined in a certain manner and in a certain sequence, chemical reactions would then ensure for a medicine to be appropriate for e.g. a certain pain relief.

Although the individual ingredients were the same in different preparations, they only would be able to give the results required, if they were blended together in a certain way and sequence. The mystery of chemistry my mother tried to instill into me in vain at the time.

The way I look at it now is that we are dealing with synergy, which is creating a whole that is greater than the simple sum of it’s parts.

Synergy comes from the Greek word συνεργία synergia from synergos, meaning, working together, interacting in ways that enhance or magnify one or more effects of the individual components. So, when individual parts are connected together, they form one entity which is worth more than the individual parts in isolation.

Essential oils, especially so the Young Living essential oil blends, not only support your body synergetically with biochemistry, but also with the synergetic electromagnetic vibrational energy of live botanicals, so that your body, soul and emotional wellness is lifted up to a higher level of wellbeing and joy.

So, with that said, let’s take a look at various oils and blends that might be of benefit for enhancing your libido.

Ladies come first … of course 😉 …

Ok, let’s start with getting our hormones balanced nicely. Let’s face it, if they are singing in harmony, we ladies feel better, and more inclined being in the mood 🙂

So, let me introduce you to Progesterone Plus / Progesterone Phyto Plus

Gary Young, ND, and Dan Purser, MD, Progessence Phyto Plus maximizes the effects of wild yam extract and vitex oil by utilizing an innovative suspension system.

It’s the first-ever skin serum of its kind on the market. Progessence Plus / Phyto Plus is a wonderful hormone balancer, not just during those years of monthly cycles and possible PMS, but also during menopause … and long beyond (as it is the case with me!).
