Is Your Heart Ready to make it Happen? … Are You Ready to Manifest Abundance?

cricles dots_50 Sorry, can I ask you a personal question?

How are you coping financially?
Are you sorted for retirement in however many years that might be?

Nobody likes to talk about this rather personal issue. Everybody talks about how wealthy Baby Boomers are. We read about adventure holidays, and all the other good stuff. I am sure there are plenty of us in that fortunate situation!

However, there is another side, a financial shame side, that we tend to hide.

My own story illustrates this well. My life has been peppered with university student life (so, yes, I have my degrees incl. a Masters degree), having lived aboard in various countries, married, divorced, stay-at-home mum for a period of time, at one point lost house and home and was homeless and unemployed … Retirement funds? What retirement funds? There came a time I had to think differently….

Many other people have suffered from major losses financially as well. They had thought they had their future security sorted, and then recent recessions wiped out a lot of baby boomer’s meager retirement accounts. That came after the “dot com bubble” fiasco, etc. The stock market may have recovered, but have we?

Baby Boomers are facing a significant crisis for their future retirement with 65% saying they won’t retire or they are delaying it.

It’s embarrassing, it’s shameful and many of our generation are hurting. Like me, many had to go and get a job with minimum wages, jobs that were way below our education level and ability.

Many baby boomers are overloaded with financial responsibilities and debt, leaving them overworked to make ends meet, frustrated, exhausted and often disengaged.

According to Gallup, “Concerns about money likely play a significant role in explaining why so many baby boomers see themselves working longer. Even before the 2008-2009 recession, financial advisers were warning that some baby boomers were carrying too much debt, saving too little, and relying too heavily on Social Security to retire comfortably. And then came the economic collapse — a perfect storm of layoffs, pension and stock losses, and plummeting home values — which was particularly ill-timed for boomers who might otherwise have been in financial shape to retire on schedule with the start of their Social Security benefits.”

In an interesting article: “The Secret Shame of Middle-Class American” it says that nearly half of Americans would have trouble finding $400 to pay for an emergency.

Many of us are in the process of delaying retirement, … or maybe we need to think about what Chris Farrell calls ‘unretirement’ in his book: “Unretirement: How Baby Boomers are Changing the Way We Think About Work, Community, and the Good Life”

“Welcome to unretirement, a revolution in the making! The promise of unretirement is that it creates the income, the wealth, the entrepreneurial engagement, and the workplace transformation for dealing with our most troubling economic and social issues. Forget gloomy forecasts. Aging workers are in the vanguard of change and hope. Unretirement is an opportunity to seize.”

We are the generation that challenged social norms and tried to reshape society. We brought innovative inventions, and now it’s time to think differently again.

It’s time to embrace entrepreneurial thinking. This is a website dedicated to boomers and mature women. The intention is to empower purpose, health and wealth for heart-centered spiritual entrepreneurs, creating residual income within a supportive community.

With proper training, a great teachable mind-set, and an amazing caring supportive community, a lot can be achieved!

Please check out the way forward by being an Entrepreneur

After years of researches, I have come to the conclusion that being an entrepreneur in a relationship marketing sustainable business model is the way forward (more of that some other time).

As we advance in wisdom, we really do not want our bodies to lag behind either, so, natural organic healthy complimentary support is always desired.

So, with all this said, let us look forward and start creating a new life full of hope, healing and joy!
