Wealth and Riches in the Bible – Scripture Promises
ByThis is a growing collection of Scripture references meant as an encouragement and positive focus.
These scriptures I have found useful in times of severe challenges.
“as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 3:27) You will eventually become what you think. And you can’t think one thing and become something else.
Fear is a force just like faith is a force. If you give into fear and start to dwell on that junk and start to act on it, that fear can actually bring things to pass just like faith can bring things to pass. Job said, “the thing I greatly feared came upon me.”
The Bible tells us what we should dwell on in Philippians 4:8. It’s to “think on things that are pure and honest and of a good report.”
Enjoy the growing list of Scriptures below:
Genesis 12:1-3
New King James Version (NKJV)
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
God’s reality is that if you are in Christ, you are the seed of Abraham, God has given you the power to get wealth, and He wants to establish and make known His covenant in the earth among men – through you! God wants His children to start commanding wealth instead of crying, begging and scraping by.
But first of all, before becoming a commander of wealth in the earth, you must know and be convinced for yourself that wealth is the will of God for you!
Will you partner with God in these last days to walk in your authority and command wealth on His behalf – to do with money whatever He desires and to ensure that you and your family are blessed beyond your wildest imagination and dreams?
Your “more-than-enough” God, the One who is in covenant with you, can move you to a place of commanding large amounts of wealth for His purposes.
But it is up to you more than it’s up to God whether you move into position to command wealth as a partner with Him and and His work – not asking but commanding wealth on behalf of the Father.
Deuteronomy 8:18
New King James Version (NKJV)
18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
2 Corinthians 8:9
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
(this verse does not just refer to spiritual poverty/riches, but also in finances and every good thing!)
Psalm 35:27
New King James Version (NKJV)
27 Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the LORD be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
James 1:17
New King James Version (NKJV)
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Psalm 112:1-3
New King James Version (NKJV)
Psalm 112
The Blessed State of the Righteous
1 Praise the LORD!
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
“Your money must have an assignment; your money must have a mission or purose. And God must be included. Supernatural provisions will always come when one understands his financial assignment in the work of God. Understanding the power and the purpose of the covenant, that person becomes a Kingdom commander of covenant wealth.” Leroy Thompson
